About IFMR History
The International Fellowship of Motorcycling Rotarians (IFMR) is the fellowship group of Rotarians who share the common interest of motorcycling. We are one of the largest of the 100+ Rotary Fellowships with around 2800 members in 30 different countries.
IFMR India Chapter was started in 2003 by the founder charter chair PDG Rtn. Late. Dr. Prithvi Raval and co-chair Rtn. Zarryl Lobo. We have about 300 members including the members of the 8 sub-chapters: Coimbatore, Goa, Hassan, Kochi, Sholapur , Thrissur, Varanasi and Ahmedabad
IFMR India organises monthly rides usually on the 1st Sunday of the month. These are about a half day, where we ride for about 200 km, generally for breakfast and fellowship. We also organize long rides, overnight stays, endurance rides, rides in aid for a humanitarian mission and annual get together with families.
In keeping with our tagline of: “Riding with passion, responsibly”, all our rides comply with the International Safety Standards. In addition to this our riders wear the Chapter issued Tee-shirt and riding vests lending our group a distinct identity.
Our magazine: Vroom and our booklet, Rear View, chronicles our ride summaries, sheds light on the causes we support and provides riding tips to the community.
Our mission is to provide a friendly club for owners and enthusiasts of Classic Motorcycles.
